School/Life Balance
Words of Wisdom:
ENJOY these two years. Challenge yourself. Prioritize. Get involved. Meet new people. Get out of you comfort zone. Business school, and Fuqua in particular, is such a unique experience and environment where you will have the opportunity to learn so much about yourself and your classmates. Take advantage of the fact that for the next two years, you essentially have a break from working and can explore so much about the world around you. I would be remiss to say that there will be times where you will be stressed and will question your choice to come to business school (everyone does it), but just remember that without struggle, there is no progress. No matter what, you will always have your Fuqua family to fall back on and help you along the way! Congratulations on your acceptance and welcome to Team Fuqua!!
Maximizing your experience at Fuqua
There are a ton of options and opportunities for you to get involved at Fuqua and there will be times where you feel like you want to do it all. I would highly suggest joining organizations and groups where you feel that you can either learn the most or make the most impact. Even if you are not on the cabinet for a particular club or organization, you can still be an active member. When I came, I told myself that I wanted to become really involved with the school and meet a lot of my classmates in order to learn about and from their experiences and allow them to do the same from me. Doing so, has made my experience here at Fuqua so much richer as I feel that I have been able to make a real impact in different ways. Challenging yourself to go outside of anything that may be familiar to you can really expand your horizons and make your experience in business school amazing!
